Kal Larocque

Kal Larocque Lines brings lived experience, passion, and a deep commitment to community advocacy to their role on the Board of Directors at St. Clair Child & Youth Services. Having experienced homelessness and navigated multiple mental health systems as a youth, Kal brings a uniquely informed and compassionate perspective to their work in child and youth mental health.

A fierce advocate for youth empowerment and equity, Kal is deeply invested in relational practice and its transformative impact on young people. Particularly those who have been marginalized or underserved. Their professional work focuses on re-engaging youth who have become disconnected from the traditional school system, offering support and pathways back into education and community.

Kal also serves as a systems navigator and facilitator for a community-based adult trans support group, further underscoring their commitment to inclusive, affirming, and accessible services for all. Their advocacy and professional practice are grounded in lived experience, relational integrity, and a strong belief in the capacity of young people to thrive when supported with care and connection.

Kal is honoured to contribute their voice and experience to the governance and strategic direction of St. Clair Child & Youth Services, championing services that are responsive, youth-centered, and rooted in lived realities.
