Virtual Crisis Counselling

St. Clair Child & Youth Services is pleased to receive $5000 in funding from the United Way of Sarnia-Lambton's COVID-19 Emergency Compassion Fund. This investment will be directed to provide virtual crisis counselling to support the acute mental health needs of high-risk children and youth in Sarnia-Lambton.

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all aspects of our lives, creating stress for people and our community. Fear and anxiety about this situation can be overwhelming at times and challenges the way we cope. While people vary in their response, it is likely that more people will see an impact on their mental health and well-being than will suffer serious physical effects of the illness. St. Clair Child & Youth Services continues to work closely with our partners at Bluewater Health to provide quality community-based options for at-risk children and youth who require acute mental health support. The addition of virtual crisis counselling for children and youth identified at-risk will eliminate barriers and provide timely access to a much-needed service in our community.
