St. Clair Child & Youth Services, Children’s Mental Health Lead Agency for Lambton County, is currently seeking contract summer staff for 2021.

Clinical Assistant


The Clinical Assistant works in close partnership with members of our team to enhance programming and services delivered to children, youth, and families.


Job Duties:

  • Helping with preparation and planning for sessions
  • Developing and updating resources
  • Assisting with workshops, groups, and other forms of youth and family engagement
  • Administering client satisfaction phone calls



Ideal candidates for this position would be enrolled in, or graduated from, a College or University programs related to Child and Youth Care or Social Work.

Additional qualifications would include:

  • Knowledge of mental health
  • Belief in the potential of youth
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

The anticipated duration of this position is 8 weeks, contract conditions apply.

  • be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
  • have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
